YEAR 1-8 CHILDREN – Clay – Cats
In this programme the children worked with clay:
The used the clay slab roller to create a folded over dish that they later under glazed and scratched back a design on.
They made pinch pots that they inverted and turned into minions.
Then they did some observational drawing of cats and created a cat from clay.

YEAR 7-8 CHILDREN ONLY – Xmas Table Setting
In this class the children created a Xmas table setting that includes 6 placemats and a 3D centrepiece candle holder. will be provided. The class size is limited to just 4 children.
The children learnt:
- To accurately cut fabric using a variety of tools
- Sewing Machine safety
- To sew accurately
- To read and follow a pattern
- A variety of techniques including: applique, construction, quilting and binding

YEAR 1-8 CHILDREN – 3 Snappy Bags 3 Ways
This was another one of our very popular art and sewing classes. In this one the children designed and created 3 pieces of fabric that they then sewed into 3 snappy bags.
The children created their pieces of fabric in 3 ways: Gelli printing; fabric dye and vivid; and fabric painting with metallic paints.
Then they choose which 3 bags they would like to create: Pencil case, Ipad mini bag, Notebook bag, Ipad bag, glasses bag, or tooth brush/toothpaste bag.
One of the bags created was given as a Xmas gift for a friend or family member and went home wrapped and ready to pop under the Xmas tree.
The amount of sewing done varied according to the age of the child.
